Cold Weather Preparation

As temperatures start to fall, it is the perfect time to make sure your home is ready for Winter.
- Turn off the water to all outside water spigots. Drain the hoses and cover spigots with insulation.
- Make sure gutters are clean and that no leaves or debris are close to the outside HVAC units.
- If you haven’t yet, please turn on your heat to make sure it is working.
- If you haven’t changed the filters for the HVAC systems in the last 3 months, please do so right away.
- If temps drop below freezing and are going to stay that way for more than 24 hours, open the cabinet doors underneath all sinks and open all faucets to a small drip to keep pipes from freezing.
